Double Column Machines

Manufacturing of large and heavy parts is done effectively using Double Column Machines. Built sturdy with thick columns and solid base that maintains a balance while working on bulky workpieces, these machines are designed to offer more control, precision, and power. Additionally equipped with CNC tech, the movement through all the three axes are enabled.

  > Stable and cool spindle setup

The spindle head is positioned close to the z-axis, which ensures that it wouldn't bend or shift easily when cut from sideways. Powered by a sturdy motor, it has a unique rectangular gearbox which maintains the temperature even, which in turn aids in less heat formation, less distortion and more precise work. 

  > Two-speed gearbox

It is now easier to switch between low and high spindle speeds. These gears are carefully treated and ground, which renders silent operation that will last a long time. 

  > Spindle oil cooler

This machine has a built-in oil cooler which maintains things at the optimal temperature, which aids the spindle and the gearbox to last longer without compromising the accuracy. 

  > Ease of head movement with no excess noise

The weight of the spindle head is balanced by the combination of hydraulic power and nitrogen gas. This setup minimizes noise, reduces vibration and enables the smooth movement of the head. 

  > Stable Beam Support

The support system on the beam is in the model of a ladder, with heavy-duty linear guides, with three blocks on each side. This setup keeps the spindle steady, especially when it's moving along the Y-axis. 

  > Flexible Milling Head

The universal milling head is built to be tough, precise and fast. It has dual axis rotation with a 2.5° accuracy, which makes it an ideal choice while working on multi-sided parts or moulds. It is also possible to machine five faces in a single step, without having the need to move the workpiece, thus saving time and increasing the accuracy. 

  > Laser Calibration for accuracy

Every single machine undergoes a laser-checking, which tests for the alignment, repeatability, pitch and backlash. 

  > Heavy-load bearing support

A double-V shaped slideway with a smart rib reinforcement is used along the X-axis, which helps the table to handle heavy loads without drifting or shaking. 

  > Hydraulic support on W-axis

A dual hydraulic system backs the W-Axis, which ensures smooth up and down movement even under load. 

  > Swift Tool Changing

The automatic tool changer carries out the task of swapping the tools with such a pace and efficiency, thereby reducing work downtime.
